In the recent past Hon. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has been frequenting up to the mountain region in what many political analysts are interpreting to be a strategic poisoning in the forth coming succession bid. The region has been welcoming him in a great way for he is always considered a great friend and a good neighbor. His relationship has always been held with great regard and more so after 2008 when he joined former President Mwai Kibaki following the highly contested election which resulted to the deadly 2007 post election violence.
Though President Uhuru has not explicitly given his blessing to anyone, many political pundits has been insinuating that he may look outside the mountain region and the de facto beneficiary may be Hon. Musyoka. If this happens President Uhuru’s legacy could succeed in debunking the myth that the Mount Kenya region cannot support a candidate other than one of their own.
Some notable visits are; earlier this month he attended the launch of the Lenten campaign at Our Lady of Consolata in Nyeri town. In this event also in attendance were Deputy President William Ruto, Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga, Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu and ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, among other leaders.
Before that he visited Sunday service at ACK Giachuki in Gatanga on February 24th 2019 and later at Kayole, Township Ward Muranga Town to condole with Senator Irungu Kangata and family following the loss of his mother Mama Margaret Wagechi Irungu
It is in this light we consider perusing Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka’s professional and political profile.
